My wife (now deceased) and I visited Paris many times while we were living in London from 1968 to 1973 and subsequently on European trips from Canada and the US. It was always the highlight of our travels. Your pictures bring back many happy memories and I look forward to celebrating at least one more time if my health remains good . Being 90 this year brings a sense of urgency to my plans . I first sat in the Jardin de Tuileries as a young bachelor in 1956 and our last visit was in 2000.
Thank you for bringing it all back so vividly.

Great photos! I especially loved the black and white of Montmartre street! I also liked the chair and am curious about it – is it your chair or did you just find it there? Either way, lovely photo!

Thanks! Yes, we just found it, in exactly that position – I was attracted to it because of it’s linear relationship to the trees / building – in a park that’s all arranged around linear geometry I just thought there something delightful in that.

I don’t have Pinterest (or Instagram) – but it’s a good tip, I should probably look in to setting that up. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Gorgeous photos. Your very first one, of the buildings at night with light oozing through the streets made me think of a volcano oozing lava through earth-cracks. So many others brilliantly framed and shot. Thanks.

What a beautiful place to visit and spend the day, soaking in the sunny surroundings while admiring the buildings and the simplicity of french culture. I’ve always had a special love for french and paid great attention when it was taught in school. Visiting Paris has been on my bucket list for a very long time. I’ve screenshoted all of this for my trip to Paris. Thank you, so much. Love!
