Learning from Looking Down

It is captivating to look down on the city.

By looking closely, we can see the grain – the mass and texture of the city – and the evolving inscription it makes on the earth.

We can observe (and understand) the spaces between the buildings.  These are the places we inhabit.

  1. What a fun idea for a post. I liked this. Everything always looks so different from above. It is always a surprise how different cities look from above when it is night time too. .

  4. Aerial view of a city is its fingerprint . A form of landmark. Like the Eiffel tower while on the ground, the planning of the city when looking down. Many cities like Barcelona , Paris, Florence, NY have such distinct planning, one can immediately recognise without caption details!
