There is a beautiful melancholy as old buildings fade in to the ground.
These abandoned ruins used to be homes; places of shelter and protection. Now, there is a tragic and funereal atmosphere, as they fade – slowly dissolving in to the earth.
But, at the same time, there’s something beautiful about the manner of this decay – as the natural materials that formed the walls are ever so slowly consumed by the land that produced them.

This reminds me of a poem I wrote a few days ago, do go and check it out

Lovely post! It’s quite a cycle, isn’t it? What rose from the earth becomes once again enveloped by it. What goes up, must come down, for the cycle to begin again.
